Why water?

Water sustains all life — yet it’s too often taken for granted. While energy, waste, and carbon dominate sustainability efforts, water remains overlooked, especially in sports and entertainment. From maintaining fields to ensuring a safe, comfortable guest experience, every drop matters. Now is the time for our industry to focus on water — and find solutions before it’s too late.

Why leverage sports and entertainment?

When messaged properly, the industry’s visibility and platform is a megaphone for challenges and solutions, facilitating more rapid, mainstream impact.

Additionally, stadiums and arenas consume water to host their events, and to maintain a clean, healthy, and comfortable experience for their guests. Implementing solutions in these spaces yield high impact.

Event at a Glance

The two-day Summit convened 50 participants at Wrigley Field to focus on water quality, access, and resilience.

Brent Suter, Pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels, joined for a discussion about his own climate journey and the athlete perspective.

Outside of the Summit’s content, time was held for cross-industry networking between solutions, innovators, and live event venues.

Participants were treated to an operational behind-the-scenes tour of Wrigley Field that included access to the historic field and climbing into the iconic scoreboard.
